The Best of 2008

As crappy as we'll all probably remember 2008, a lot of good things happened not last of which was pulling our heads out of our asses and electing Barack Obama as our president. That alone is reason enough to believe 2009 will be better. There was also some killer good music in there. Below is a pretty solid little list of my favorites from the year. I didn't pick an overall favorite but those first three albums are pretty solid contenders. The songs, however, are just in alphabetical order but those David Byrne and Brain Eno songs are probably the best songs I've heard in a while.

"Everything that happens will happen today
and nothing has changed, but nothing's the same
and every tomorrow could be yesterday
and everything that happens will happen today."
- David Byrne

Happy New Year.

One of my resolutions is more music on here in 2009. I kinda stopped talking about it after I got the impression from Angie, etc. that I was so far behind in my taste that I might as well be recommending a little up-and-comer out of Dublin named U2.

So look for more to come.
