Hail Mary

Whitney and I have somehow gotten into watching the Bachelor again. This has happened before but somehow it's happened again. Don't ask me how. I'm ashamed to even mention it in such a public place. But try as I might to laugh it off, I find it fascinating.

Here are these people who for whatever reason have decided their best shot at love is to go on a game show and fight it out for a guy whom they've idealized to the point where ain't no one ever gonna meet them expectations. It's like throwing a hail Mary with your life. Like your back is against the wall and you need a game-changer!

Of course you get the fame searchers and the desperate-to-get-married types but then you also get these damaged girls which are great. Just red flags left and right. Just got out of an eleven year relationship? Perfect! Biological clock ticking off the wall? Even better! Desperate to leave your life in Chicago behind and can "start immediately." Oh wait, two of those were the same girl. And she's gone now.

All that being said, my personal money is on the Jillian girl. Molly's a close second. Stephanie wears mom clothes and that chick from Dallas just seems young and immature. I don't even know what to think of that Naomi girl.

You need to do a quick gender check, Howard--make sure it's still there.

Katie and I might watch this every Monday. Our money's on Jillian, too. Did you notice the trainwreck you speak of that left the show had enormous sideburns that we think she cut/squared off herself? Also, we think she left without a fight which is foreshadowing for her showing back up on the show. I mean, this is what I would probably think if I watched such reality TV.

She greets bitches with a slap. Said it herself.

And Alison, keep an eye out for sideburns. She's gonna kidnap Ty.
